Yesterday was superb and brimming with ticks in our check boxes.

alesha dixon photographed by denise ebanks of imageXperience for passion for knowledge poster campaignSo it's the day of the night of the BRIT AWARDS and things are hotting up for us at imageXperience, as we prepare to photograph Alesha Dixon for a poster campaign to promote reading and a passion for knowledge - what a superb cause.

We arrived at the hotel in Kensington at 12:30 where we were able to relax and have a lemonade before we met Alesha's manager and headed to her suite to set up.

On a time budget, we quickly did our recce and got our technical setup complete.

Alesha is tall, elegant, clearly beautiful and very professional. It was a pleasure to have photographed Alesha and had the opportunity to work with her makeup artist, Kim, who was totally on the ball.

Our session was over in good time with a few laughs along the way, 'cause that's just how we roll!

The posters will be available for purchase in due course and we will post details of the website as soon as we have it from the organisers.

Another session to be grateful for and whilst we're on the subject of gratitude, thank you to my dear friend for looking after my wonderful children all day, Mike for his superb assistance, Nathan for the props set ups, amazing Natalie, Lawrence, Malcolm for organising everything and making it all possible - oh and Alesha, of course!

As the sun started to go down and the mosquitos started to come out the ants were in force and the children were doing their own thing.

Parents took the opportunity to catch up and have a natter, whilst I chased the children around to capture the shots.

Kait was a natural poser - watch out Canada's Next Top Model - Kait knows all the moves, so long as there is a camera anywhere in the vicinity! As for Nicky, well, he had his own plans - sticky hands were certainly not on the agenda and completely got in the way of his poseability (if that's a word).

Sasha and Jerry, we've thoroughly enjoyed meeting you and completely appreciate all the help and assistance you have given us since we arrived.

Looking forward to coming back and hope these images go some way to illustrating how much we thank you for all of your hospitality.
