Awarded SE Region Under 5s Photographer of the Year '09

Young Kyreece, whom I spotted passing the studio with his parents and just had to photograph him in our previous South Croydon photography studioYoung Kyreece, whom I spotted passing the studio with his parents and just had to photograph him in our previous South Croydon photography studioI am absolutely delighted to be awarded the prestigious title of South East Region under 5s Photographer of the Year.

On Monday evening, the well respected Fellow photographer, Dennis Hylander, judged the print competition for the Master Photographers Association South East Region over at Rowfant House.

After having a couple of procedures of my leg on Monday morning, I made my way over to Rowfant House to delivery my competition prints.  Unfortunately, I was unable to stay for the critique and judging, which has been reported to have been excellent, as Dennis critiques just about every image entered.

Late on Monday night, I received a PM from my lovely Lisa, who happens to be the 2008 UK Photographer for the Year, congratulating me on my win - which she had already pre-empted when she saw the images earlier in the day.

I'm honoured to have been awarded this title and would like to share the image that enabled me to receive it - meet Kyreece again...

Exactly how delicious is he? Thank you again Andrina for bringing him in, he was a delight to photograph.

welcome back oliver...

This morning was a lovely one - sunshine, gardens and Oliver!

With the children safely delivered to school and Harvest Festival sorted out, we headed down to the lovely Coombe Wood Gardens for Oliver's final Cherubs session.

As we walk around taking in the beautiful gardens, I hear Suzy's dulcet tones from over the greenery - yes, they're here!

Oliver is walking now and has a great sense of independence as he goes about his exploration of the gardens. His beautiful eyes are mesmerising, however, he's quick off the mark, so there's not much chance to stay transfixed.

Suzy and Mike were great in encouraging Ollie to head in the direction we wanted him.
