Awarded SE Region Under 5s Photographer of the Year '09

Young Kyreece, whom I spotted passing the studio with his parents and just had to photograph him in our previous South Croydon photography studioYoung Kyreece, whom I spotted passing the studio with his parents and just had to photograph him in our previous South Croydon photography studioI am absolutely delighted to be awarded the prestigious title of South East Region under 5s Photographer of the Year.

On Monday evening, the well respected Fellow photographer, Dennis Hylander, judged the print competition for the Master Photographers Association South East Region over at Rowfant House.

After having a couple of procedures of my leg on Monday morning, I made my way over to Rowfant House to delivery my competition prints.  Unfortunately, I was unable to stay for the critique and judging, which has been reported to have been excellent, as Dennis critiques just about every image entered.

Late on Monday night, I received a PM from my lovely Lisa, who happens to be the 2008 UK Photographer for the Year, congratulating me on my win - which she had already pre-empted when she saw the images earlier in the day.

I'm honoured to have been awarded this title and would like to share the image that enabled me to receive it - meet Kyreece again...

Exactly how delicious is he? Thank you again Andrina for bringing him in, he was a delight to photograph.

meet kyreece...

As soon as I saw this little boy, I knew I had to photograph him.  He's simply delicious - what a cutie-pie and what a little attitude - had me in stitches!

He's a perfect combination of his model-like parents - his mum is lovely, she even let us capture a few shots of her with Kyreece and on her own - all of which look amazing.

I've gone for a different look this time - completely different to the Preview images, which are now ready - sorry, simply didn't have enough time to get them complete last night.

Without further ado, here he is: Kyreece keeping those startling blues under wraps...
