Awarded SE Region Under 5s Photographer of the Year '09

Young Kyreece, whom I spotted passing the studio with his parents and just had to photograph him in our previous South Croydon photography studioYoung Kyreece, whom I spotted passing the studio with his parents and just had to photograph him in our previous South Croydon photography studioI am absolutely delighted to be awarded the prestigious title of South East Region under 5s Photographer of the Year.

On Monday evening, the well respected Fellow photographer, Dennis Hylander, judged the print competition for the Master Photographers Association South East Region over at Rowfant House.

After having a couple of procedures of my leg on Monday morning, I made my way over to Rowfant House to delivery my competition prints.  Unfortunately, I was unable to stay for the critique and judging, which has been reported to have been excellent, as Dennis critiques just about every image entered.

Late on Monday night, I received a PM from my lovely Lisa, who happens to be the 2008 UK Photographer for the Year, congratulating me on my win - which she had already pre-empted when she saw the images earlier in the day.

I'm honoured to have been awarded this title and would like to share the image that enabled me to receive it - meet Kyreece again...

Exactly how delicious is he? Thank you again Andrina for bringing him in, he was a delight to photograph.

i won. las vegas. again.

YES! I can't believe that I've won another trip to Las Vegas, although this time it's not for winning a photography competition with an awesome image of a hunky bloke. This time it's down to greed!

Recently I've put on quite a bit of weight as a result of eating numerous packets of Doritos everyday - my favourite is Chilli, then Cool, then Tangy Cheese - plus, I've been eating several packets of Bueno bars every day too. Well, a couple of stones later and it's time to pull on the reigns and lose some weight (of course), then become great friends with 'Moderation'. I've managed to lose 8lbs so far, which was great news delivered by Mandy yesterday.

Then came this morning's fab news from Lesley, who called to advise me that I had won a trip to Las Vegas in the Doritos daily draw competition. Woop, woop. I couldn't believe it. The first time I went to Las Vegas, was when I won the Licentiate Competition in the British Professional Photography Awards in 2007 and now I've won another trip there.

I'm over the moon that my over-indulgence in my favourite crisps paid off and can't wait to be in Las Vegas again. I can just imagine the pictures.
