Awarded SE Region Under 5s Photographer of the Year '09

Young Kyreece, whom I spotted passing the studio with his parents and just had to photograph him in our previous South Croydon photography studioYoung Kyreece, whom I spotted passing the studio with his parents and just had to photograph him in our previous South Croydon photography studioI am absolutely delighted to be awarded the prestigious title of South East Region under 5s Photographer of the Year.

On Monday evening, the well respected Fellow photographer, Dennis Hylander, judged the print competition for the Master Photographers Association South East Region over at Rowfant House.

After having a couple of procedures of my leg on Monday morning, I made my way over to Rowfant House to delivery my competition prints.  Unfortunately, I was unable to stay for the critique and judging, which has been reported to have been excellent, as Dennis critiques just about every image entered.

Late on Monday night, I received a PM from my lovely Lisa, who happens to be the 2008 UK Photographer for the Year, congratulating me on my win - which she had already pre-empted when she saw the images earlier in the day.

I'm honoured to have been awarded this title and would like to share the image that enabled me to receive it - meet Kyreece again...

Exactly how delicious is he? Thank you again Andrina for bringing him in, he was a delight to photograph.

a little majick anyone?

We have been looking forward to this shoot since the pre-consultation. Francis visited the studio, having seen our work in the window and online. Following an inspirational discussion, Francis was suitably impressed with our ideas for a PR photo session.

Francis and Roy head up Majick Products, who produce environmentally friendly cleaning products. They look absolutely yummy and smell just as good. It won't be long until the website us up and running, ready to serve up some clean eye candy.

One of our clients owns a Windmill, in fact, the oldest working windmill in Britain. We had previously discussed the possibility of using it for a location shoot and now that the right opportunity was here, we couldn't wait.

On the eve of the shoot, I checked the weather forecast on my iPhone and rain was certainly on the horizon. I could have got down about it or panicked about what we would do, however, I like to consider the glass half full. So, the shoot would go ahead and we would work with it! And work with it we did...
