Awarded SE Region Under 5s Photographer of the Year '09

Young Kyreece, whom I spotted passing the studio with his parents and just had to photograph him in our previous South Croydon photography studioYoung Kyreece, whom I spotted passing the studio with his parents and just had to photograph him in our previous South Croydon photography studioI am absolutely delighted to be awarded the prestigious title of South East Region under 5s Photographer of the Year.

On Monday evening, the well respected Fellow photographer, Dennis Hylander, judged the print competition for the Master Photographers Association South East Region over at Rowfant House.

After having a couple of procedures of my leg on Monday morning, I made my way over to Rowfant House to delivery my competition prints.  Unfortunately, I was unable to stay for the critique and judging, which has been reported to have been excellent, as Dennis critiques just about every image entered.

Late on Monday night, I received a PM from my lovely Lisa, who happens to be the 2008 UK Photographer for the Year, congratulating me on my win - which she had already pre-empted when she saw the images earlier in the day.

I'm honoured to have been awarded this title and would like to share the image that enabled me to receive it - meet Kyreece again...

Exactly how delicious is he? Thank you again Andrina for bringing him in, he was a delight to photograph.

meet baby amelia...

On Wednesday I had the pleasure of welcoming Lisa and her baby Amelia for her first Cherubs session.  Lisa was recommended and accompanied by her good friend Jackie, who owns JAXS hair salon in Shirley and whom I'd worked with previously on beauty shoots (Jackie rocks, she's a super hairstylist and wonderful person to top it off).

This is a very small world!  Last week, Lisa had met with her friend Kerry, who is heading off to Australia tomorrow - to live. Lisa and Kerry were excited about their respective portrait sessions - Kerry and her family had just had their farewell photo session and Lisa had booked Amelia for her first Cherubs session. When Kerry told Lisa, just how great her session was, Lisa was delighted to know that it was imageXperience who had photographed Kerry and her family!

With the background and recommendations out of the way, here is gorgeous little Amelia...
