first casting call - newborns...
Tuesday, 7 April 2009 Today myself, Mike and the children trawled the shops for accessories to bring our ideas and concepts to life for our newborn baby photography.
Why a casting call?
Simple, I want to capture images that have us - you and me - be inspired... award-winning images!
This is an exciting time for us; with the Kodak Portrait Awards, British Professional Photography Awards and WPPI Awards coming round again, we're placing our first Casting Call for newborn babies to be photographed in the studio by me (Denise).
What's involved?
An inspired photography session of your precious newborn baby at our South Croydon studio, where we will focus on capturing one image with that 'je ne sais quoi' that makes it stand out from the rest. The session will last anywhere from 15 minutes to 2 hours, depending on how happy baby is to 'model' for me.
To participate, your baby needs to be between 1 day and 3-4 weeks old and you will need to sign a model release, to enable us to use the images to promote ourselves and enter into competitions, there is no obligation to purchase at all - we're simply out to capture, create and generate amazing images.
If you're pregnant and in your last trimester, now is a great time to get in touch and if you know someone who fits this description, send them this information!
How much does it cost?
You? Nothing. We're waiving our studio session fee, therefore, there is nothing for you to pay.
Us? Studio time, processing time and production time, however, we're considering it an investment.
What about if you choose to purchase any of the images? That's up to you and we will be happy to discuss our portrait presentations and pricing with you, as there are options for everyone from wall art to gift prints.
Are you guaranteed a photo session?
As a working photography studio [business], we need to balance our portrait commissions [paid] versus innovative vision investment [unpaid], therefore, we only have a limited number of sessions available as part of our Casting Call.
What next?
