Awarded SE Region Under 5s Photographer of the Year '09

Young Kyreece, whom I spotted passing the studio with his parents and just had to photograph him in our previous South Croydon photography studioYoung Kyreece, whom I spotted passing the studio with his parents and just had to photograph him in our previous South Croydon photography studioI am absolutely delighted to be awarded the prestigious title of South East Region under 5s Photographer of the Year.

On Monday evening, the well respected Fellow photographer, Dennis Hylander, judged the print competition for the Master Photographers Association South East Region over at Rowfant House.

After having a couple of procedures of my leg on Monday morning, I made my way over to Rowfant House to delivery my competition prints.  Unfortunately, I was unable to stay for the critique and judging, which has been reported to have been excellent, as Dennis critiques just about every image entered.

Late on Monday night, I received a PM from my lovely Lisa, who happens to be the 2008 UK Photographer for the Year, congratulating me on my win - which she had already pre-empted when she saw the images earlier in the day.

I'm honoured to have been awarded this title and would like to share the image that enabled me to receive it - meet Kyreece again...

Exactly how delicious is he? Thank you again Andrina for bringing him in, he was a delight to photograph.

meet kicki, bump and katja

Whilst we suffered the slush of the of the snow and treacherous ice, Mike and I ventured into Greenwich to meet Kicki our new Cherish client, Kicki.

After amazingly making it to the door without any mishaps, I immediately greeted Anne-Marie as Kicki - doh, she didn't look pregnant at all, let alone 9 months pregant - but hey, that didn't matter, I was just glad that I had made it to the door without landing on my bum!

Kicki was mega laid back and chilled out - my kind a gal. Little Katja was a joy, she played happily and posed for the camera as need be.

Although the light wasn't really on our side, we managed to capture some really lovely images and have save the best for the preview:
